Privacy Policy
Effective July 15, 2026PiePix ("the app," "we," "us") is developed by PiePix. This policy explains what PiePix does and does not do with your data. Read it together with the short version already in the app itself: Settings → Help Center → FAQ.
§1The short version
PiePix has no account, no login, and makes no network calls of its own. Everything the app does — analyzing your photo library, tracking your cleanup stats, remembering your mascot's wardrobe — happens and stays entirely on your device. Nothing about your photos, your usage, or your device is ever sent to us or to any third party, except in the two specific cases below, and both require you to actively choose to send something.
§2What PiePix accesses on your device, and why
- Photos & Videos. With your permission (the standard iOS Photos permission prompt), PiePix reads your photo library's metadata (dates, file sizes, dimensions) to build the storage chart, and can create, modify, or delete items when you choose to — every deletion, favorite toggle, or metadata edit goes through Apple's own Photos framework and shows Apple's own system confirmation. PiePix never uploads your photos or videos anywhere; media only ever leaves your device when you personally choose to export it to a drive you pick, or share it via the system share sheet.
- Storage & device info. PiePix reads on-device storage capacity (via iOS's own APIs) to show how full your device is. This never leaves your device.
- Widgets. The home-/lock-screen widgets read a small snapshot of your stats (bytes freed, streak, mascot's outfit) from a container shared between the app and the widget, both on your device. This data never leaves your device either.
§3What PiePix stores, and where
Your cleanup stats, mascot progress, day labels/favorites, and preferences are saved in small files in the app's private storage on your device (Application Support). None of this is backed up to any server we control, synced to an account, or accessible to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
§4Diagnostics (opt-in, local-only until you export)
If you enable "Share anonymized diagnostics" in Settings, PiePix keeps a local log of crashes and a few app events, purely to help you (or, if you send it to us, help us) understand something that went wrong. This log:
- Is off by default.
- Never transmits automatically — it stays on your device until you explicitly tap Export, at which point the system share sheet lets you choose where it goes (e.g. attach it to an email to us).
- Contains no photo content — only app-usage events and crash traces.
§5Sending us feedback
Settings → Help Center → Send Feedback opens your own Mail app (or your device's default mail handler), pre-addressed to us and pre-filled with your message plus your app version, iOS version, and recent crash count — so you don't have to type that by hand. You send this yourself, through your own mail account; PiePix has no server that receives it directly. Whatever you type, plus that small context block, is what gets sent. We use it only to respond to you and improve the app.
§6In-app purchases
PiePix Pro subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's payment system (StoreKit). We never see or store your payment information — Apple handles billing, and Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction data.
§7Third parties
PiePix includes no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no tracking libraries of any kind. The only "third party" involved anywhere in this app is Apple itself, via standard iOS frameworks (Photos, StoreKit, WidgetKit) and, if you choose to email us, your own mail provider.
§8Children's privacy
PiePix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children, in keeping with everything above (we don't collect anything from anyone, of any age, unless you send it to us yourself).
§9Your rights / control
Because PiePix doesn't collect or store your data on any server we operate, there is generally nothing on our end to request, correct, or delete beyond what you may have sent us directly (e.g. a feedback email or an exported diagnostics file) — email us at anth.xony@icloud.com and we'll delete any such correspondence on request. Everything stored on your device is under your control at all times: delete the app, and it's gone.
§10Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
